Cologne-Paris was our
fist real cycling-tour and took place in July 2000, right in the summer one should think.
But somehow our timing wasnīt that great, during our 8 days of travel it actually rained
on 6 days, and it didnīt rain for 20 minutes only. I guess some higher power really
wanted us to find out if we were ever to go on such a tour again by putting as many
obstacles in our way as theoretically possible but in the end we rolled into Paris, pretty
wet by the way... The idea to the whole tour came up when I surfed around the internet on a pretty boring morning during my traineeship from 1999 until 2001. At first I didnīt really expect anything but "are you totally out of your mind???"-e-mails when I placed the idea into an e-mail but to my own suprise the receivers of that mail reacted quiet different and so we ended up on the saddle some months later.
